Artists Solve Problems.
Artists Solve Problems
When Phil Hansen developed an unruly tremor in his hand that kept him from creating the pointillist drawings he loved to create and make. He was devastated that he could no longer create these drawings. This didn't stop him from creating art though.
After spending all of his life creating and wanting to be an artist he left art school and art completely because of his shake. After a little while of not creating art and went to the doctor, who said that he had permanent nerve damage. Then the doctor said this.
"Why not embrace the shake?"
So this is exactly what Hansen did. He went home and grabbed a pencil and let his hand shake and shake. This created 100s of squiggly lines. This wasn't the art he was fully passionate but it felt great to him to be able to create art once more. Once he saw that he could create art without just dots and his hands he started to create beautiful pieces of art using, for example, his feet and wood. He didn't even have real art supplies. He used whatever he could find to create his art.
