3-D Inspiration
Blog 1In this first step I created all the posts/rods to go around the ring of the lamp shade. I worked with new resources by using newspaper, cardboard and a little duct tape. I used the card board to make the shell and the top of the lampshade for support. I mostly used the duct tape and newspaper for tall the rods/ posts. Making the lampshade become difficult when I tried to tape all the rods to the ring of the lampshade.

blog 2In this second step I started to tape the rods to the main ring of the lamp. This was difficult because the ring wanted to move while I was taping the rods on. I should’ve thought about this before starting but once I taped the ring together it was too late to go back so I had to work with what I had.

Blog 6In this last picture I held the lamp shade over a real lamp. I didn’t feel comfortable putting the lampshade right on top of the lamp because my bulbs get very hot so I didn’t think it was a good idea to put a newspaper lampshade on top of a hot lamp. Even though I ran into a couple of problems along the way I still think that the lampshade turned out well.
